AI

AI For Creatives

AI is here to stay! So let’s all learn how to play!
First we were amazed when Alexa obeyed our command to play Cheap Trick. Then we got caught up watching (and worrying about) a crazy deep fake featuring Bill Hader. Now, we’re told AI here and poised to upend digital creation (and maybe our lives). Instructor  Doug Garth Williams demoed some sweet video and motion graphics projects for us using AI and it was so much fun that we forgot to charge our self-driving vehicle.

In this immersive 3-hour Zoom workshop, you will get an overview of the current state of image-generating artificial intelligence. We will introduce and explore powerful tools like DALL-EMidjourney, Stable Diffusion, and Runway ML, revealing their impressive potential. Beyond the technical aspects, we will also touch on the ethical implications of AI-generated art, discuss ways AI-generated imagery can be incorporated into an existing creative workflow, and look at examples of AI being used out in the world. As we wrap up, we'll take a glimpse into the possibilities the future holds for AI in the field of visual art, leaving you well-prepared to navigate the intersection of artificial intelligence and artistic expression.
